As the name implies, the Basic Pit Gauge is Western Instruments’ introductory model in our Pit Gauge Product Series. One of Western Instruments’ more popular Dial Indicator Pit Depth Gauges, the Basic Pit Gauge, like all of our standard models, is supplied as a Kit. These Kits consist of; Dial Indicator (Metric or Imperial) or Digital Indicator (w#1 Contact Point), Basic Blade, Wooden Storage Case, Allan Key (for adjustment), Spare #2 Contact Point, Operator Instructions, and the Calibration Certificate. Any of the models of Basic Pit Gauge, will provide the inspector with a great deal of accuracy on most work pieces. The Basic+ Pit Gauge offers a Centre Mount, 2¼" (57mm) Blade, were the Digital Gauge Diameter is 55mm (2.2”), while the Metric and Imperial Models are 1½” (38mm) in diameter. The range of the indicators are; Metric 14mm x 0.01mm, Imperial 0.550” x 0.001” , and the Digital 14mm x in 0.01mm or 0.550” x 0.001” Graduations. ٭ All Indicators have an accuracy of 0.005mm and/or 0.0005”.
